I am an Assistant Professor at Old Dominion University. I am the co-creator of Flowtv.org with Christopher Lucas, the co-creator of Mediacommons: A Digital Scholarly Network with Kathleen Fitzpatrick, the creator and coordinating editor of In Media Res, and the originator of the Flow Conference. I am currently completing a manuscript on the history of character licensing, titled “Selling the Silver Bullet: Transmedia Brand Licensing and Merchandizing, 1933-2008” for the University of Texas Press.
