Dr. Rebecca Housel, The Pop Culture ProfessorTM, is an author and editor in Wiley’s Philosophy & PopCulture series; you can see her LIVE in 2013 on the Wizard World Comic Con tour. Along with a recent book review for the Journal of American Culture on Sex and Disability, Housel has authored two other articles published in 2013, including “Eating Your Brain,” on 21st century zombies for PHILOSOPHY NOW magazine and a book chapter on vampires in pop culture for the anthology, EVIL IN POPULAR CULTURE, co-edited by Jody Pennington (Praeger). Housel is also the author/editor of True Blood & Philosophy: We Wanna Think Bad Things with You (Wiley 2011, 2010), Twilight & Philosophy: Vampires, Vegetarians and the Pursuit of Immortality (Wiley 2009), X-Men and Philosophy: Uncanny Insight and Amazing Argument in the Mutant X-Verse (Wiley 2009), and, From Camera Lens to Critical Lens (Cambidge SP 2006). Housel authored The High Seas series (High Noon 2001), five books of middle-grade fiction on maritime communities in the 19th century. Dr. Housel is on the Editorial Advisory Boards for the Journal of Popular Culture and Journal of American Culture.
