Fabrizio Cilento (http://fabriziocilento.com) is Associate Professor of Film & Digital Media at Messiah College (PA). His scholarship focuses on films whose characteristic lies in reconstructing historical events, political crises and conspiracies. Cilento received his PhD in Cinema & Media Studies from the University of Washington. His book An Investigative Cinema: Politics and Modernization in Italian, French, and American Film is under contract with Palgrave Macmillan (2018); while his articles have appeared in Cinema Journal, Fast Capitalism, The Arizona Journal of Hispanic Cultural Studies, California Italian Studies, Comedy Studies, Teorijia in praksa and Seismopolite. He wrote four essays for the collections Pier Paolo Pasolini: American Perspectives, The Cinema of Marco Tullio Giordana, The Moro Affair: Memories and Narrations, and The Cinema of Ettore Scola. Cilento leads the annual cross-cultural program Italian Cityscapes and the Flow of Life. In the field of digital media, he has launched the collaborative project Cinemablography (http://www.cinemablography.org).
