Rene Thoreau Bruckner

Bio: René Thoreau Bruckner is a film and media historian/theorist. He received his Ph.D. in Visual Studies from UC Irvine, and has taught at the University of Southern California, Binghamton University, Oklahoma State University. His specializations include media archaeology, theories of time and technology, sound studies, wildlife cinema, animal studies, Tarzania, time travel, and cryptozoology. His work has appeared in the journals Discourse, Spectator, Estudios Visuales, Octopus, and Autopsia.
