I am an assistant professor of media studies at Alfred University and hold degrees from the University of Tennessee and the University of Alabama. I consider myself a teacher first and foremost and dedicate most of my time to developing courses and working closely with my students. I have focused much of my research on television narrative and media literacy, but in recent years I have begun to shift my focus toward social media and its application to the classroom. Personally, I am a constant lurker in social media channels. I devote too much time to reading tweets and developing libraries of bookmarks. In short, just because you don’t see me post too much don’t mistake that for my absence because I am there watching everything you do….bwaaah ha ha haaaa!
